Chapter fourteen

It was after my ankle had healed that things started to go haywire, on the news there was a man slaughtering people for the apparent reason of: he was god, he must prove it. Eyolf felt angered and sick by it. Stupid idiot! She thought as she clenched her fists when she knew her invisible blade was there.
Eyolf now walked the streets, with her own military dog named Jace. His black face was alert for any sounds around her. She had a small backpack on with her Creation Maker inside along with a few papers and pencils, two sketchbooks as well. She had a flash light too, and some glow sticks to help her.
She had the military on speed dial in the phone she was given.
Eyolf was amazed she hadn't died yet. Her creatures were more powerful than her, they were too fast and too sneaky about things. She'll need to be ready if they were to attack at any moment again. She was grateful that she suggested she had her own dog and was walking on her own in the streets. She felt stronger, and more confident. She narrowed her eyes at a man that gave her the bird with his fingers.
She smiled, and saluted to him. But that only made him mad, he pulled out a gun, and started to come over to her. Jace barked. He pointed the gun at her dog, she went in front of him and said, "Hey brat, I'm your problem. Not my dog." She didn't care if she got any injuries from him, she'd have to knock him out afterwards.
The man gave an unforbidding glare back at her.
Eyolf gestured for him to come closer, and a thought ran through her mind. What if this is a man that would be capable of killing her? What if she wasn't strong enough? Well, she'll have to think with more tactics then.
As the man neared, she clenched her fists and Jace barked wildly at the man, she held the leash a little tighter, and more closer to her. The man pointed his gun at her head. "I'll blow your brains out for being a stupid little girl!" He snapped, and then Jace was launched at him as the dog pinned him to the ground. The pistol he held went off, but it didn't hurt anyone.
Eyolf looked down at the man under the weight of her dog. He struggled to get him off, and the dog had the pistol in his mouth. She grabbed it and threw it aside. She let the man up as the dog got off of him. The man was giving her a hard glare, and she used her mind control to throw him into an alleyway, knocked out cold.
Jace whined as she put the leash back onto him, and then they walked on by yet again. Like nothing happened. The gun had suddenly disappeared though. Eyolf didn't trust magic like that, she didn't know why she included it with her own things, her drawings and literature.
Her stomach writhed under the feeling that it could be used against her. She watched the ground as she and Jace made their way down the street they were on, and turned the corner.
The smell of acrid smoke filled her lungs, she started to choke. She put up her shirt over her nose. The smell of her shirt was better, way better. Her purple eyes searched the sky. Nothing.
Eyolf put a cloth over Jace's muzzle to keep the smoke from billowing into his lungs. He looked up at her and whined. She knew the cause of the fire somewhere was an explosion. But where is the fire? She didn't see any around.
She let Jace off of the leash and he went searching by eye first before she could even do anything about it. She held the shirt to her nose as she watched the dog go through alleyways and return with nothing to signal for.
This reminded her of a movie she watched, it was called I Am Legend, although there were no creatures of infectious splendor, it had the same vibe. There couldn't be any fire around, I don't see it. But I smell it. Where is this coming from? Thought the girl as she watched the dog trail back on the other side of the buildings, he came back with no signals at all.
Eyolf put him back on the leash. She glanced at her feet, and started to think. She pulled out her sketchbook and Creation Maker. She started to doodle a little, and then she inserted a useful piece of paper into Creation Maker.
She then was sent with several hundred waves of thoughts, scenes, times, and many things to see. Eyolf squeezed her eyes shut and focused. She then could see a flamethrower in a basement, it wasn't being shot. That's what her self power directed her to. She looked around and saw a few things missing from it. It looked like it was rigged with something.
Eyolf's heart pounded, there was natural light, but where was the window? She looked for the window, something stood in the way. She looked closer, it was familiar shoes and jeans. She felt her foot shift a little, and the foot she saw moved too.
Then she opened her eyes and looked to her right, it was there. She had located where it was coming from, but she couldn't invade into a house like this. She couldn't have the police ganging up on her to put her into jail, not if they knew she was the only one to save them from her own species that someone mysteriously brought out.
"Alright Jace, revere." She told the dog, and let the leash go. The dog ran at the window and busted it open with the hard end of the leash. He jumped into the hole and tangled with the flamethrower on the ground under a table.
Eyolf crossed two of her fingers and hoped highly that he'd get it out in time for her to stop whatever fuse was inside. She was lucky to even have Creation Maker on her to even tamper with anything like that.
Eyolf kind of liked the way she searched the place with her mind and everything. Seemed cool and freaky. Now I know how my characters feel. She thought as the dog struggled to lift the flamethrower from the window.
She came over and helped the dog with it.
Eyolf heard something beep inside, her eyes widened as it reached its last seconds. And then...
